Ashford Estate Wedding Photos

Megan and David’s Ashford Estate wedding photos were such a pleasure to capture. Their wedding was filled with so much joy and you could feel it in the room when they entered their reception.  We actually had the ability to take their engagement photos at Ashford Estate before their wedding – so seeing both Megan and David dressed to the nines on their wedding day in the same setting was stunning! We had a lot of fun exploring all aspects of the grounds and I loved the color scheme Megan chose.  The bridesmaids all wore deep blue, Jenny Yoo, floor length dresses and Megan wore an Allure Bridals gown with a sequin embellished top. The guys all looked handsome in their tuxedos!
The reception was set up beautifully thanks to Magnolia Florist! Sequins, glitter, lace and tons of roses!

How did you two meet and fall in love?

We met through mutual friends on one of those “booze cruises” around manhattan. It wasn’t love at first site for either of us. We didn’t actually go on a first date for almost a month and a half after meeting. We slowly started seeing more and more of each other and over time developed a really great relationship.

What was most important to you when planning your wedding?

We really wanted our wedding to be traditional. It was important to me to be married in the church and have that traditional aspect to our wedding. We also really wanted that wow factor for our reception, but again keeping it traditional, classic, elegant.

What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?

I wanted what was in my mind this fairytale wedding. A grand event that was beautiful and elegant.  Again, we’re both more classic style so we didn’t want anything crazy or out of the ordinary. We wanted the overall theme to really feel like it was us and I think we accomplished just that.

What is your favorite memory from your wedding?

There’s so many! It was the best day ever. I would say our favorite moment was in church when we first saw one another. We couldn’t stop smiling at each other, it was the best feeling walking towards your favorite person in the whole world who you knew was as excited to see you as you were to see them.

How will you describe the feeling you had on your wedding day to your children one day?

Magical. It truly felt like a dream. Our wedding turned out just the way we had planned and for me what I had been imagining the day would be like since I was little. We were surrounded by nothing but love and support- we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Plus, we literally had the picture perfect day weather wise!
