Hoboken Engagement Photos :: Jill and Kris

Jillian and Kris’ Hoboken Engagement Photos are featured today and I can’t get enough of these two adorable people! Between the style and the love these two had for each other – gosh! Also, can I just say Jill has killer blue eyes? Yes!

We had a great session walking around the water front and of course, the cobble stone streets of Hoboken!  Jill and Kris even brought an outfit change to switch things up a bit :-). We had perfect weather, perfect light and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I can’t wait for their wedding next year! Read more below to learn about their love story!

I really wanted to wear two different outfits that were both girly and flirty. I also wanted to incorporate light pink which is the color my bridesmaids will be wearing! First I wore a light pink dress from Yumi Kim with simple jewelry. Kris wore a white Jcrew shirt with dark jeans. For the second outfit I was excited about my Pookie and Sebastian off-the-shoulder white shirt, dark jeans and Ted Baker flowered pumps. Since I didn’t want us both to be in matching white shirts, I made Kris bring along a second shirt (despite his objections!)-  blue and pink checkered shirt from Vineyard Vines.

How did you two meet?

We (scandalously) met at work! I had seen Kris around the office and thought he was cute but we didn’t officially meet until a mutual friend’s birthday party. He IM’d me the following week on our company’s messenger and asked me out on our first date where he sweetly planned a picnic in Central Park….The rest is history! Kris eventually got a new job at a different firm but it’s funny thinking back to our secret midday coffee dates!

How did he pop the question?

We both love spending our summer weekends in Long Beach Island where my parents have a beach house. Kris really wanted to go to the beach for what he called a “quiet weekend” with just us and my parents in May. We had our usual coffee on the beach where he romantically proposed and we went back to my house where I was shocked to see that Kris had planned the best surprise –  a big party in the backyard with all of our family and best friends! Seriously the best and most emotional day of my life- can’t even imagine how our wedding day is going to feel!

What are you most excited about for your wedding? (Dances, speeches, vows, party etc).

We are so excited to have everyone we love in one room celebrating us starting our life together! We are extremely close to our family and friends so having everyone together in one place is going to be incredibly special. We can’t wait to dance the night away and soak in every moment 🙂

What do you both enjoy doing together with your free time?

Spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, exploring restaurants near our new Upper East Side apartment, and thinking about & planning our next vacation!

What’s one thing that drew you to your significant other?

Jill says: Kris is just wonderful – such a good person and only filled with good intentions. He is so much fun to be around, always keeps me laughing and I’m still pleasantly surprised when he remembers even the small insignificant details I tell him!

Kris says: Jill is a very kind and caring person who is always selfless in her actions.  Her carefree demeanor is Jill’s most attractive characteristic, always seeming to be a calming anchor in our relationship.  I cannot wait to get married and continue our adventure that has already been so great.
