Erin & Michael :: Married :: El Chorro Wedding :: Arizona Wedding Photographer

May 31, 2025

Having been inspired by some wedding photography Hudson Valley, every year I offer free wedding photography to one couple. Normally, I gift it to a couple I know; a close friend or family member that happens to be getting married.
This year, I knew no one getting married so I decided to hold a contest… and Erin and Michael were the final winners! I enjoyed Erin and Michael’s introduction about their love story, how they met, and how their faith has inspired their wedding and marriage. I traveled out to Phoenix, Arizona to capture their beautiful, El Chorro wedding on a cool, March evening and couldn’t be more excited to share the images with you today. Erin wore a beautiful strapless, Mia Solano gown and carried a stunning bouquet designed by Kate Ryan design. Her bridesmaids all wore a deep fuschia pink, floor-length gowns by After Six. Michael and his groomsmen all suited up in Jos A Bank suits with light blue ties and brown shoes. The Wedding Transportation was utterly beautiful too. Just before the first look took place, Michael took a moment with his groomsmen to pray - such an intimate photo! As Erin walked down the path towards Michael, everyone felt the anticipation and nerves. The first look happened and Michael was floored by how beautiful Erin looked - I mean who wouldn’t be? 🙂

We got some great images of Erin and Michael together. I loved the images of them praying together, and the photo of Michael putting a necklace on Erin (his gift to her). So sweet!

After the photo session it was time for the ceremony. Erin and Michael chose to do communion and read their own vows. After the ceremony it was time to celebrate!

Of course, we couldn’t finish the evening without an awesome night photo!

Congratulations Erin and Michael it was JOY being a part of your El Chorro Wedding!

Michael and I meet in 2008 during the first week of freshman year at the University of Arizona! We had a great connection as friends but never had anything romantic. I would always visit him when I was his hometown of Las Vegas (i know, crazy!) and while I was visiting for a work conference we meet up for dinner and there was an undeniable spark that had never been there before! It honestly felt instantaneous yet years in the making! We both agree that it was that night where we realized that over the years we had grown into the perfect people for each other. But since being married to Michael, I can confidently say I fall more in love with the person that he is every day.

The most important thing to me when we were planning our wedding is that every thing felt real and authentic to Michael and I. That our wedding was a good representation of us as a couple and our commitment to each other. The second most important thing was that everyone felt our love for each other, our family, our faith and for each guest who was celebrating with us! I wanted it to be a dreamy day that everyone felt like they were in a “love bubble!’

The inspiration behind our wedding theme was to highlight the natural beauty of the Arizona desert. We wanted the theme to be earthy but elegant, with all our details accenting the desert colors of our venue.

My favorite memory from our wedding day was the dancing! Everything about the day was amazing but it was so nice to be able to celebrate the biggest day of our lives with all our loved ones and just have fun!!! To see that all your thoughtful planning has paid off and that everyone just wants to celebrate you and your husband was the best feeling!! Michael and I still constantly reminisce on how much FUN all of our guests were on the dance floor!

The best feeling that I felt on my wedding day was the feeling of being unconditionally loved. It was such a special feeling to know that every person loved and supported us as a couple.
