Amanda and Scott :: Married :: Ashford Estate Wedding

As fate would have it, Amanda and Scott met in Philadelphia one evening. After that night, they never looked back and now I get the pleasure of sharing their amazing day where they took their first steps together as husband and wife. 🙂

Amanda and Scott were sweet, intimate and true companions for each other. The way they simply interacted in front of the camera was enough for me to go “aww” while I snapped away and smiled at them. Amanda wore a stunning Galia Lahav wedding gown with a sweet heart neck line and amazing detail work. Her bridesmaids all stood by her side in a soft blue bridesmaid dress by the Dessy Group while the groom and his Saks Fifth Avenue.

I don’t think I will ever forget the moment Scott turned around to see Amanda for the first time. He teared up and it was such a pure moment of JOY and love!

After a wonderful ceremony followed by some more sunset photos, the night was magical with some amazing entertainment, food and fun. We were lucky to have such lovely weather that let Amanda and Scott have some awesome wedding photography and videography to look back on. Congratulations Amanda and Scott it was a JOY being a part of your special day!

Scott and I met out one night while I was living in Philadelphia. He was down visiting a friend and sparks immediately flew. We never looked back from that night and the rest is history.

We wanted to make it an unbelievable experience for our guest from the venue to the food, decor and personal touches. It was also important to me that it was a day Scott and I would never forget.
I truly wanted it to be a magical day and it was. Hearing Scott say it was the best day of his life is all I needed to make all of the planning worth it.

I am from North Carolina and one of the things that drew me to the Ashford Estates was the ceremony location in the barn. I loved the rustic and warm feel and I really drew my inspiration from there which is why we went with a lot of greenery. The reception hall was much more formal but I wanted to make sure we brought in lightness and romance which is why we continued with the greenery but added more flowers. It was also important to me that the room was dark and intimate which is why we used so many candles. I wanted it to be romantic and dark and intimate and I’m so thrilled my vision came to life. It was everything I always dreamed of and then some.

How amazing is this shot of Amanda just before she enters the barn for their ceremony? So sweet!

My favorite memory has to be our first look. I never expected that kind of reaction from Scott and it took my breath away. His emotion and loss for words make absolutely everything worth it. I spent so much time envisioning my look and it was just such a sweet moment the two of us could share. I will never forget the look on his face.
