My husband’s family and my family have known each other for years. Robby’s dad used to work for my grandpa when he was just a kid. Time after time our families wanted us to meet but it just never worked out. Finally, my grandma decided to change that. She told me we were going Christmas shopping but had to make a quick stop to see my grandpa (who was with Robby at the time). We finally met and it was truly love at first sight.
When planning our wedding we wanted to make sure the whole day was meaningful and special for not only us but our family too. We are very close with our families so any chance we could do something sentimental-we made sure to do it.
After visiting the Ashford I got a very elegant yet rustic vibe. I wanted everything to be classic but also have a charm that made it unique. We used a lot of white and green flowers but wanted the a regal gold look thrown in there too.
We both agree that me walking down the aisle was our favorite part. We decided not to do a first look so the anticipation of seeing each other was so exciting. If we could go back to any part of our wedding it would 100% be that moment. It was a feeling that is indescribable.
We would tell our future children that it was a day of absolute joy. It was really the best day of our lives and we could not have felt more happy and in love. People told us it would go by fast and it really did but to have pictures and memories to remind us of these feelings and to show them one day is a gift.
