Scott and Colleen’s Laurita Winery Engagement photo session was gorgeous! The light was in our favor and I couldn’t help but love how cuddly these two love birds got during our session! Colleen and Scott kept it casual in jeans and nice shirts - but of course we all know how much I love accessories! Colleen’s coral statement necklace certainly caught my eye.

1) How did you two meet?
After many years of consulting work in NYC, Colleen met Scott at work. Scott had agreed to move from his company’s office in Austin, TX to work on this challenging project in NYC. Soon after, Colleen was laid off, and they didn’t have any contact for six months. It wasn’t until a year after their first meeting that they both ended up at dinner with coworkers. After dinner, Colleen invited herself to Karaoke at Muldoon’s where she and Scott sang together (Gin Blossoms “Follow You Down” and U2 “With or Without You”). At the end of the night, Scott kissed Colleen, which she claims was a “surprise”.
2) What do you both enjoy doing together with your free time?
Exploring new beer and wine. We especially enjoy the Finger Lake Wine Trail,
which inspired us to have our engagement photos taken at Laurita Winery.

3) How did he pop the question?
On vacation for Colleen’s 30th birthday in San Francisco. The day after Colleen’s birthday, we were at Dining in the Dark, where you eat a meal in complete darkness. Colleen did not see it coming.
4) What is your favorite memory together?
Scott bringing Colleen to upstate New York for the first time to meet his family. We stayed in downtown Syracuse at a boutique hotel and visited some wineries on Cayuga Lake.
5) What’s one thing that drew you to your significant other?
Scott’s Answer: Colleen is smart and honest and smells really good.
Colleen’s Answer: Scott’s intelligence and humor.
